Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Account information: your email address and a securely hashed password.

Learning activity: lessons completed, quiz and MBLEx answers and scores, Listen & Speak scores, daily question answers, and practice streaks.

Content you create: SOAP notes, AI analyses of those notes, questions you ask Ask Bestie and the answers, and client summary links you create.

Billing information: your membership status, credit balance and purchase history. Card details are entered directly with Stripe — we never see or store your full card number.

Technical information: basic logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) that our hosting provider records to keep the service secure and working.

2. Your voice (Listen & Speak)

When you tap Speak, your browser's own speech recognition turns your voice into text. Depending on your browser, this may be done by your browser maker (for example Google for Chrome or Apple for Safari) under their privacy policy. Bestie Therapy does not record or store your audio — we only save your score if you are signed in.

3. How we use information

To create and secure your account; to provide courses, practice and progress tracking; to run AI features you ask for; to process payments and manage your membership and credits; to send account emails (such as confirming your email or resetting your password); to respond when you contact us; and to fix problems and improve the service.

4. AI processing

When you use Ask Bestie or analyze a SOAP note, the text you submit is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate a response. It is used to provide the answer to you, not to advertise to you. Please do not include client names or other details that identify a person in SOAP notes or questions.

5. Client information in SOAP notes

SOAP notes may contain health information about your clients. You are responsible for having a lawful basis and your client's permission to record and share it, and for keeping notes free of identifying details where possible. Bestie Therapy is an educational tool and is not a HIPAA-covered medical record system.

A client summary link shows only the client-friendly summary — never the SOAP note or therapist guidance. Links expire on the date you choose, and you can turn them off at any time.

6. Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run Bestie Therapy, and only as needed: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (website hosting), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI features), and our email delivery provider (account emails). We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety, or as part of a merger or sale of the business (with notice to you). We do not sell or rent personal information.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure. We do not use advertising cookies. Your browser may also store your practice preferences on your device.

8. How long we keep information

We keep your account and learning data while your account is open. You can delete individual SOAP notes at any time. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal, tax or accounting reasons (such as payment records).

9. Your choices and rights

You can ask to access, correct, download or delete your personal information, or close your account, by emailing hello@neramitapp.com. Depending on where you live (for example California, or under Thailand's PDPA), you may have additional rights, and we will not treat you differently for using them. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

10. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls that keep each member's data private to them, and trusted providers. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

11. Children

Bestie Therapy is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. International users

Bestie Therapy is operated from the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. If we make important changes, we will tell you on the website or by email before they take effect.
